The anthem of our joy

The anthem of our joy
Faithfulness that always rings true
Love waves like a banner
There is none like You

Behold the winter is past
The rains over and gone
Christ is shining in our hearts

The anthem of our joy
Faithfulness that always rings true
Love waves like a banner
There is none like You

Flowers appear on the earth
Times of singing have come
Your unfailing love melted the heart of stone

The anthem of our joy
Faithfulness that always rings true
Love waves like a banner
There is none like You

Fig trees run ripe with their fruit
Blossoms of the vine dance at Your sight
Hearts breathe deep the perfume of Your love

The anthem of our joy
Faithfulness that always rings true
Love waves like a banner
There is none like You

Arise arise and sing for pure joy
Our time of singing has come
What has been broken has been made into one
Arise arise arise
Shout in all the nations the Father’s love
Through all the lands sings the turtledove
Singing of the Father’s joy
Sing sing sing,
Sing

The anthem of our joy
Faithfulness that always rings true
Love waves like a banner
There is none like You

Satan has been defeated, and he has no power you because of Christ’s death on the cross. He is rendered powerless. Draw near to God, and resist Satan through the power of Christ because He was defeated about 2000 years ago. Don’t let him deceive you into thinking he has any power. If you think he does, you will act like he does. If you believe God has the power over him, then act like it! There is so much joy in that! Our banner we carry isn’t one of defeat, but rather victory over sin and death by the power of the Son of the Living God! (For more about this read Spiritual Warfare by Jerry Rankin and The Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson (where part of this paragraph is taken), they provide valuable insights as to our security in Christ and our victory over sin and Satan).

God is so good to us, and His faithfulness to us stands as a memorial just like the 12 stones that the Israelites gathered to remind them of what God did for them. Just as those rocks were a memorial forever to Israel, so is God’s faithfulness to all nations. We have reason to be joyful, and at the same time we have a reminder of His goodness so that the fear of the Lord remains in our hearts. He is so awesome, there is thunder and lightning in His footsteps, and there aren’t words to describe Him. The anthem of our joy is Him. He is Jehovah-Nissi – the Lord our Banner. Praise God!
