Look at what we’ve done

There sits a Lexus
Glist’ning where’s the fuss
Men sit in corners alone
No place called home
(No place called home)

Look at what we’ve done
Where’s the power of one
Lost in seduction
Stuck in personal disaffection

Sittin’ there utterly dazed
Before drinks were razed
Family now long gone
Dancing continues on
(Dancing continues on)

Look at what we’ve done
Where’s the power of one
Lost in seduction
Stuck in personal disaffection

Forgot what’s important
Yeah you’re just snortin’ it
It’s gonna be your turn
Soon to never learn
(Soon to never learn)

Look at what we’ve done
Where’s the power of one
Lost in seduction
Stuck in personal disaffection

Sexual is the norm
Morality is without form
Plenty of lost sleep
With nothin’ to keep
(With nothin’ to keep)

Look at what we’ve done
Where’s the power of one
Lost in seduction
Stuck in personal disaffection

Where’s redemption
Not your extinctions
Problems aren’t your start
Look it’s your heart
(Look it’s your heart)

Look at what He’s done
There’s the power of One
Found in salvation
Roots in His propitiation

Behind yes are scars
Found behind broken bars
Given a new beginning
New songs now singing
(New songs now singing)

Look at what He’s done
There’s the power of One
Found in salvation
Roots in His propitiation

Future looks uncertain
Tear down the curtains
Open your stuck windows
Light blinds the shadows
(Light blinds the shadows)

Look at what He’s done
There’s the power of One
Found in salvation
Roots in His propitiation

Water’s poured on our face
Oh the showers of grace
Time action’s taken
Here we are awakened
(Here we are awakened)

Look at what He’s done
There’s the power of One
Found in salvation
Roots in His propitiation
(Found in salvation)

Look at our world, do we conform to it? Or do we live our lives in worship of our Father who has rescued us from these things? What of the others that are still sitting in their brokenness? What of the ones that have no clue? Do we continue to sit in our pews and our desks, living complacent lives satisfied with where we are? We have our own salvation secured right, we’re going to heaven anyways. We can do what we want with our lives. What if we actually thought differently, what if we decided that true Love was worth risking our desk and pew? I don’t provide answers obviously, just questions. I think questions that we need to start asking. Each of our callings yes looks different, what we do every day looks different, but what looks the same is we are one Body of Christ. We are to be His hands and feet, not resting in a lazy boy, but walking through life as active living examples of the grace of Christ poured out on our lives. Let’s start taking action and begin to get our lives in order. Order our lives after Him and His will instead of ours, and step foot into the unknown and known trusting that the living God is our pillar of fire by night and pillar of clouds during the day. Go. Give your all for Him.
