How should I pray?

Lord I don’t even know how I should pray
Is it this or that, go here or there
Life’s adventures, to go or to stay

It seems like I get lost so easy
A misdirection, a wrong turn
Winds go here, life’s so breezy

I tend to know some answers
A start maybe, who knows
Not knowing, it’s like cancer

Something I’ve learned though
It’s for Your glory, not to another
How to pray, this might be a go

What matters is not my safety
Alive or dead, tested or untried
Prayer’s important, not hasty

So in the end it’s not about me
Safety or danger, happiness or anger
In the timing, it’s Your glory we really see
